The Eszterházy Károly College is dedicated to meet the ever-increasing
academic needs of students with an extensive training profile
described in this publication. The College is proud of its
almost 250 year higher educational history and presently is
serving a student body of 10000. The Eszterházy Károly College
is an acclaimed regional higher educational institution offering
a wide variety of educational programs in humanities, natural
sciences, economic and social sciences, sports and arts. Our
institution offers 25 college and 4 university level undergraduate
programs, in addition to 2 university level auxiliary programs,
9 post secondary schemes and numerous specialized post-graduate
programs. However, this catalogue is not restricted to course
descriptions as it provides important information on the Hungarian
higher educational system and helps international students
to successfully navigate in the institutional and organizational
framework of the Eszterházy Károly College. Also, aimed at
helping visiting students to adjust to their new surroundings
and to establish a pleasant and comfortable living space, our
publication provides a wealth of information on Hungary, the
region, and on Eger as well.
The Eszterházy Károly College is located in Eger, one of the
most beautiful Baroque towns in Hungary. Eger surrounded by
spectacular vineyards is not only a popular tourist attraction,
but a town historically dedicated to public and higher educational
purposes and renown for its wide variety of cultural programs.
We wish academic success and a memorable stay for all of our
visiting students and as honorary alumni we will be happy to
welcome them back any time in the future.
