Undergraduate programs

 Biology B.Sc.
Graduates familiar with the basic aspects of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Informatics will be capable of analysing the most important correlations of Biology and of  furthering their knowledge in their chosen  field of study. Moreover, students well versed in the most important research methods, and equipped with sufficient practical and laboratory knowledge will be able to outline, realise, and evaluate scholarly objectives related to the subject matter. Furthermore, the acquired theoretical knowledge will enable graduates to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Geography B.Sc.
The aim of the program is the training of such experts whose modern natural science perspective and foreign language proficiency enable them to independently further their knowledge within their chosen professional field. Graduates will learn the theoretical and methodological foundations necessary for the understanding of the natural and socio-economic environment in addition to their own communities and settlements. Furthermore, the acquired theoretical knowledge will enable graduates to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Chemistry B.Sc.

The aim of the program is the training of professional experts whose natural science perspective and high level content knowledge along with a general natural science and informatics background enable them to independently further their knowledge within their chosen professional field in addition to the processing of the results of domestic and international research efforts and professional literature. Furthermore, the acquired theoretical knowledge will enable graduates to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Environmental Science B.Sc.
The aim of the program is the training of applied environmental research experts possessing a modern natural science perspective along with foreign language proficiency required for international scholarly cooperation and the studying of relevant professional texts. Graduates familiar with the basic aspects of Mathematics, Informatics, Chemistry, Physics, Geo-science, and Biology will be able to utilise their knowledge in applied environmental science, in addition to performing relevant practical and environmental administration tasks. Furthermore, the acquired theoretical knowledge will enable graduates to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Mathematics  B.Sc.

The aim of the program is the training of mathematicians familiar with the application of the basic methods of the science, along with the methodology of the acquisition and research of mathematical principles and theorems, and with new solution alternatives for the potentially emerging problems. Graduates with an adequate theoretical and applied Mathematics background and foreign language proficiency can utilise their knowledge in technology and business in addition to realising statistical and computer-science related objectives. Furthermore, the acquired theoretical knowledge will enable graduates to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Program Design and Informatics B.Sc.
The aim of the program is the training of informatics experts capable of either in groups or individually to elaborate, introduce, operate, maintain, develop, and apply soft ware-oriented information technology equipment and systems. Furthermore, the acquired theoretical knowledge will enable graduates to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Sports Management B.Sc.
The aim of the program is the training of such professionals whose familiarity of the subject matter enables them to fulfil sports management and sports organisation-related tasks, in addition to identifying and effectively utilising resources required for physical education programs and for various sports activities. The acquired interpersonal, problem identifying, problem solving, cooperation, communication, and foreign language proficiency will help graduates to respond to the challenges posed by the social and economic background of the sports industry. Furthermore, the acquired theoretical knowledge will enable graduates to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Physical Education-trainer B.Sc.
The aim of the program is the training of experts whose familiarity with the basic aspects of physical and body culture, sports science, education, and health science along with a personal commitment to a healthy lifestyle and personal fitness enable them to work as trainers, sports managers, and Physical Education teachers. Furthermore, graduates committed to the maintenance of a balance between the human and natural environment will develop an adequate theoretical foundation to continue their studies in second cycle M.A. programs.

Special post-secondary programs

Wine production technician

The aim of the program is the training of experts whose diverse professional background earned in a transitory economy enables them to work in the domestic and international wine industry. Graduates will be able to contribute to medium and large size wineries, and family businesses either as mid-level managers or in such positions, which require a higher education qualification.

Food industry manager
The aim of the program is the training of experts who could fulfil medium level management laboratory-oriented tasks for small and medium size food production enterprises, family businesses, canning industry firms, frozen food producers, and wineries. Intending to respond to labour market requirements the two-year program emphasises relevant practical knowledge.

Waste management technician
The aim of the program is to train experts whose familiarity with the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject matter enable them to fulfil environmental management, primarily waste and refuse management tasks in residential areas, small and large agricultural firms, and private enterprises. Graduates of the program can fulfil medium level management responsibilities in addition to earning the right to establish independent businesses.

Logistics and technological manager assistant
The aim of the program is the training of experts with a logistics background whose interdisciplinary knowledge enables them to work for multinational companies and small and medium size enterprises by solving practical problems in a cost-effective and technologically sound and appropriate manner.
